Getting Started
Sign Up or Sign In
In to Lumis at https://app.uselumis.ai . We can see the following page.
If this is the first time using Lumis, we can click the sign up button using our email address or use a Google account to login directly.
- Input the email address and password to sign up
- Or use a Google account to login directly.
Onboarding
When you register for Lumis for the first time, the product will guide you to a landing page where you will see a welcome message.
You can tell Lumis about your role and what you focus on.
You can also tell what do you want Lumis to help with.
Then you can connect platforms to unlock deeper insight. Lumis will understand all your context while protecting your privacy, helping you generate understanding, to-do lists, and automate tasks.
Finally, Lumis creates a personalized AI assistant for you; you can give it a nice name, and it will continuously help you.
Authorize and Link Communication Platforms
Then we need to do is add an integration.
Click the [Connect platform] button, and Lumis will guide us through the authorization process. We need to link and authorize our communication platforms so Lumis can access our messages across different services.
Currently, Lumis supports RSS and message platform integrations including Slack, Telegram, Discord, Gmail, Whatsapp and Google Drive. Additional platforms such as Microsoft Teams will be available soon. We guarantee the 100% security of our private data, so we can authorize with confidence.
Message Platforms
Click the [Add Platform] button in the message platforms tab. We can see the dialog that allows us to add different accounts and platforms.
Telegram
After clicking the [Connect Telegram] button, we will be redirected to Telegram’s authorization page.
When authorizing Telegram, enter our phone number.
A verification code will be sent to our Telegram app. Enter the code to complete authorization.
If we have enabled Two-Step Verification in Telegram, we will be prompted to enter our password.
We can also choose to authorize by scanning a QR code in the Telegram app.
When we finished the telegram authorization, we can use the Lumis AI telegram bot to access Lumis features directly.
Slack
After clicking the [Connect Slack] button, we will be redirected to Slack’s authorization page. Click the [Install Lumis] to add Lumis to the workspace
Note: only workspace owners can install Lumis now.
Discord
After clicking the [Connect Discord] button, we will be redirected to Discord’s authorization page. Select a discord server to install Lumis
Allow the Lumis Discord bot have the message permissions.
Note: only discord server managers can install Lumis now.
Gmail
After clicking the [Connect Gmail] button, we will be redirected to Google’s authorization page.
We can input the email address and app password we want to authorize.
After clicking the [Connect WhatsApp] button, we will see a QR code.
We can scan the QR code in the WhatsApp app to complete the authorization.
Cloud Storage
Google Drive
After clicking the [Connect Google Drive] button, we can auth the our goole drive.
Currently, authorizing Google Drive will not access existing files. It will only transfer attachments (files, images, etc.) received from various messaging platforms to our Google Drive path when needed, so that we can view and download them at any time.
RSS Integration
After clicking the [RSS] button, we can see the RSS integration page.
Lumis supports RSS integration, allowing us to access all subscriptions and aggregate them. You can enter individual RSS links or upload an opml file for batch import.
